Mayor Toni Turk Honored in Boston; Visits Plymouth

Toni Richard Turk -- the Mayor of Blanding, Utah, and proud descendant of Lieutenant Fortunatus Bassett, who succumbed on the General Arnold -- was in Boston on February 22nd, at which time he was formally sworn in as a member of the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati. While in the area, he came to Plymouth, and spent some time with Bob Jannoni, visiting Burial Hill and the area where the Arnold tragedy occurred.

Membership in the Society of the Cincinnati is reserved for those who are direct male descendants of officers who served in the Continental Army or Navy for at least three years, were serving at the conclusion of the Revolutionary War, or who lost their lives during that conflict. The authors extend their congratulations to Toni on this honor and recognition.
